Her background includes:

- Master’s Degree in Human Services Administration and a Certificate in Advanced Grant Writing & Management
- Securing millions in funding for initiatives like agriculture production and processing, food security, local food promotion, farm-to-school programs, and workforce development
Alicia’s career began at a nonprofit food bank in Fresno, CA, where she built a grants program from the ground up, securing funding for food access, infrastructure, and logistics. She later worked as a grants administrator for a city government, further refining her expertise in securing and managing federal and state funding.
Her passion for food and agriculture led her to specialize in USDA grants, working with farmers, agribusinesses, and food system organizations to secure funding for their expansion, research, and marketing efforts.
