Wooten Grants Consulting was established in 2023 by experienced grants professional Alicia Wooten. A remote company based in Fresno, California, Wooten Grants Consulting serves organizations across the United States. Alicia and her team help agricultural and energy-related organizations drive growth and profitability through expert grant writing services.
Alicia Wooten has 7+ years of grant writing and management experience. She also has a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, a Master of Arts in Human Services Administration, and a Certificate Award in Advanced Grant Writing and Management. Her track record includes winning over 200 grants and securing more than $10M in grant funding.
As a California native with roots in the Bay Area and the Central Valley, Alicia’s grant writing career began at a nonprofit food bank in Fresno, CA. This is where her grant writing skills blossomed through real-world experience as she built the foundation for a thriving grants program within the organization.
Alicia’s dedication to grant writing led to securing millions in grant funding for various initiatives, including food and nutrition programs, marketing, logistics, equipment, and infrastructure. She also worked as a grants administrator for a local city government, writing grants for public works projects. Her wealth of foundational and seasoned knowledge of the nuanced world of grant funding can help you secure grant funding for your business endeavors.
Alicia started Wooten Grants Consulting in 2023 after leaving her in-house role to build her business and help more organizations secure grant funding to grow their operations. After initially working with a few farming clients on agricultural grants, Alicia quickly realized how much she loved working with businesses in the agriculture industry, particularly on federal and state grants. This allows her to actively contribute to a more resilient and robust American economy.
Alicia currently lives in Fresno, CA, with her husband, two children, and two chihuahuas. Her husband, Thomas, is a law enforcement officer and has family farming roots (cotton and alfalfa) in Dos Palos, CA. Their children enjoy gymnastics, basketball, and visiting Bass Lake and Yosemite National Park. Alicia likes to cook, walk her dogs, and write grants.
Since beginning her grant writing career, Alicia has worked with various farmers, businesses, non-profits, and colleges across the United States to apply for and secure federal and state agricultural and energy-related grants.
Alicia has successfully written and applied for over 200 grants that support the following:

While we appreciate all efforts, we can only work with established farms, producers, processors, educational institutions, and nonprofit organizations.
In an effort to provide the most value to our clients, our grant-writing services don’t support non-agricultural or non-energy projects, individuals looking to create a start-up, or primarily faith-based organizations.
